Treespeak — A Poem

Trees speak their story

in rune and wound and gesture,

in twist of limb and root

slowly churning air and earth.

Each leaf unfurled

bears a gift of breath

that we accept,

faithful as children.

Trees blush

with knowledge

of our debt.
